Cultura Manor is in the right place, situated in the midst of downtown, at the point where the modern city begins and where it all happens. The old city where you can see the colonial town with its narrow Spanish streets and gilded cathedrals are just a few minutes away. The shops, together with a wide range of restaurants, are within strolling distance and the Artisan Market just down the street saves the day for last minute bargains. Museums, theatres and art galleries abound in this part of town to keep you busy and entertained.
We were given such a warm welcome by Laszlo and his wonderful staff, thank -you! The hotel building was a joy to be able to experience. Exquisitely restored to reveal the gorgeous handcrafted woodwork and historical details while modernizing and decorating to create comfort for guests. The Library/Living Room, filled with books is warmed by an enormous fireplace and topped by the spectacular original coffered ceiling. The food, modern Ecuadorian, was delicious. Our room was quiet, spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was commodious with both shower and claw foot bathtub. My favourite touch were the hand-painted murals throughout. Music filled the public areas and a fire was lit creating a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. The wifi was good and there were no TV's to distract from the unique ambience of the place. The location was superb, with the covered Mercado Artesanal La Mariscal only steps away. I will without hesitation be recommending Boutique Hotel Cultura Manor to all my friends for their Ecuador holidays.
Amazing hotel and staff! We spent 4 lovely days here before a trip and several after. First room was great--lovely paintings on the walls, spacious room and bathroom, big bed. The next room even lovelier with the best bathroom I've ever experienced. Staff is charming and helpful; one may be a friend for life. Also quite competent: a guest had a medical emergency and staff attended to it quickly and compassionately; accompanied guest to hospital and made sure the patient's family was attended to as well. Huge bouquets of roses everywhere. Interesting books to read. Near Plaza Foch and good restaurants. Wow!!
