Café Cultura: Rooms

Hotel in Quito, Hotel Cafe Cultura was the first of the boutique hotels to open in Ecuador

Each of Cafe Cultura's 26 rooms have individual features, some are more special than others with their own fireplaces, or perhaps a sunken bath. The honeymoon suite boasts its own balcony - a conservatory converted into a dream-like bathroom with an antique tub.

Ground Floor: These rooms are towards the back of the hotel, behind reception. Possibly the most original of all the rooms are found here, with delicate paintings and decoration.

Second Floor: Each room has been individually designed in keeping with the style of the house. Different artists have painted modern frescoes throughout, adding to the already unique style.

Third Floor:
The floor with the biggest story to tell. The roof of Cafe Cultura was severely damaged several years ago by a freak hailstorm. The roof was completely reconstructed and rooms 18 to 24 were built here.

Garden: There are two rooms to be found in the front part of the garden to the right hand side of the hotel. These rooms are tremendously original. They feature a private wooden decked area in front of them, making them at once part and yet separate from the garden.
