El Septimo Paraiso: Activities

The near by Tandayapa and Mindo Valleys offer some of the best birding sites in South America. Around 430 species have been recorded in the area, 370 of these around Mindo alone. The birding here is excellent with species such as: Toucan Barbet, Scaled Antpitta, Spillman`s Tapaculo, Little Woodstar, Long-Wattled Umbrellabird, Tanager-finch, Black-crowned Tityra, Golden-Bellied Warbler, Torrent Duck, White-capped Dipper and many more.

The lodge also offers a beautifully heated pool and jacuzzi with spacious solarium area as well as a small gym for those who wish to have a good workout. All areas of the lodge are connected with a practical roofed board walk.

Extreme sports like rafting, tubing, rappelling, mountain bike, kayaking, camping in the cloud forest, extreme trekking and other exciting adventures can be organized within Septimo Paraiso. Visits to the butterfly farm, orchid house, aquarium and the Nambillo cable car are also available.
