I left Café Cultura Friday afternoon to continue on my journey throughout Ecuador, next stop the hacienda Caballo Campana in Cuenca. The receptionists at Café Cultura kindly set up a transfer from the hotel to the airport which made the journey easy and the driver was incredibly kind and helpful. There are flights leaving Quito airport for Cuenca nearly every thirty minutes, so I was able to pick an affordable flight that worked around my schedule. The ...

Self-Drive Adventures from Ecuador to Colombia

A 30 day overland adventure from Ecuador to Colombia was recently completed by a group of retired Swiss travellers. The intrepid party set off from Boutique Hotel Café Cultura in Quito for their self-drive experience of a lifetime in three 4x4 Mitsubishi Monteros. Braving both Ecuadorian roads and drivers, they soon got the hang of things!
